FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OAKVILLE, Ontario, October 22, 2008 -Today, Perspective Marketing Inc. announced the release of the inaugural issue of Perspective™ Vaughan 2009, a publication detailing the various initiatives, success stories and opportunities in the City of Vaughan. The publication was distributed throughout the Greater Toronto Area in the Globe and Mail, and to select households in Vaughan via Canada Post. The City of Vaughan is growing at a rate unprecedented in its history and, as outlined in the publication, the city is working to meet the growing needs of the community. A new city hall is under construction and nearing completion, and the city has set plans in motion to convert a 1,500-acre property into the Vaughan Corporate Centre, effectively creating a 21st-century downtown for the city. Both projects will incorporate Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design (LEED™) principles. "The City of Vaughan is making great strides to ensure the city is a competitive force within the Greater Toronto Area," says Steve Montague, Managing Partner at Perspective Marketing Inc. "Enhancements to Vaughan's infrastructure and health care system, and it's use of LEED principles are proactive and this forward-thinking nature will serve the city well now and in the future." The City of Vaughan has created several plans that will serve as guides for its future development. Vaughan Vision 2020 and the city's Environmental Master Plan outline the city's approach to issues such as growth management, environmental stewardship, financial planning and sustainability. "We felt that now is the perfect time to inform the community about Vaughan's many plans for the future," says Montague. "It is an exciting time in Vaughan. The city, its residents and stakeholders are working together to enhance the city." All Perspective Marketing Inc. publications are archived in the National Library of Canada. Perspective™ Vaughan 2009 is part of a series of Perspective Marketing Inc. publications reporting on municipalities in Ontario. There are currently 17 editions, a number expected to grow to 24 by the end of 2009. For more information, please contact: Mike O'Drowsky |
