A PERSPECTIVE ON NIAGARA'S TRANSITION

OAKVILLE, Ontario, Wednesday, June 25, 2008 – Today, Perspective Marketing Inc. announced the release of Perspective™ Niagara 2008. The publication was distributed throughout the Greater Toronto Area and the Niagara Region in subscriptions of the Globe and Mail, and to select households in Niagara via Canada Post.

Perspective™ Niagara 2008 provides readers with a comprehensive look at many of the aspects that make the Niagara region a global competitor in business, education, tourism and quality of life. To fully illustrate the region's various educational options, Perspective™ Niagara 2008 has utilized three different covers, including Dan Patterson, President of Niagara College; Dr. Jack N. Lightstone, President of Brock University; and Jonathan Leigh, Headmaster of Ridley College.

As a special feature, each of these three educational leaders answers questions about their school's respective places in the local and global communities. One need only look at the variety of educational options available in Niagara to see why the region is producing some of the best talent in Canada and the world.

"From Grade 1 to post-graduate university studies and advanced college programming, the Niagara Region has all of its educational bases covered," says Steve Montague, Managing Partner at Perspective Marketing. "The Niagara Region Economic Development Commission has implemented new initiatives to expand the region's economy from one based primarily on manufacturing, tourism and agriculture, to include growing industries such as technology and health-related enterprises."

The goal is to leverage the region's education and quality of life assets to create new knowledge economy jobs. The attraction of these and other industries as well the re-branding of the region will be guided by the Niagara Growth Strategy.
