FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OAKVILLE, Ontario, Wednesday, May 28, 2008 - Today, Perspective Marketing Inc. announced the release of Perspective™ Kitchener 2008, a newspaper supplement distributed in subscriptions of the Globe and Mail and to select homes in the Kitchener-Waterloo area via Canada Post. Perspective™ Kitchener 2008 informs readers of what it means to live, work and do business in Kitchener, and is introduced with a message from Kitchener City Council, including Mayor Carl Zehr. The face of downtown Kitchener has changed in recent years as unused, former factory spaces have been converted into chic new loft spaces. The new residential dwellings have not only enhanced the town's façade, but have also brought additional vibrancy to the town through an increased population in the city's core. "The city's revitalization of its formerly unused buildings is showing Kitchener's active approach in finding opportunities in unlikely places," says Steve Montague, Managing Partner at Perspective Marketing Inc. "This approach can also be seen in the progress the city has made in a number of other areas." Kitchener's economy is also continuing to diversify its offerings - in particular, the city's biotechnology sector continues to grow further solidifying its place as one of three points on the region's technology triangle. The sector is further bolstered by the University of Waterloo's School of Pharmacy, which will help bring Kitchener to global attention in the pursuit of medical advancement. The publication also informs readers of the many different cultural and recreational aspects of Kitchener, including numerous annual festivals, the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery, and the many hiking and biking trails and parks that make being active and cultured in Kitchener as easy as walking out your front door. "The city, its businesses, post-secondary education facilities and stakeholders have all been working diligently to make Kitchener one of Ontario's most proactive cities," says Montague. "This is an exciting time for the city. Increased investment and growing residential and economic populations are proving that Kitchener is open for business." All Perspective Marketing publications are archived in the National Library of Canada. Perspective™ Kitchener 2008 is part of a series of Perspective Marketing Inc. publications reporting on municipalities in Ontario. There are currently 17 editions, a number expected to grow to 24 by the end of 2008. For more information, please contact: Mike O'Drowsky |
