Perspective Marketing Wins Service Company of the Year at HHHBA Awards

OAKVILLE, Ontario, Monday, April 20, 2009 - Today, Perspective Marketing Inc. announced that at the annual Hamilton Halton Home Builders' Association Awards of Distinction held on Friday, April 17, 2009, the company took home the award for Service Company of the Year.

The award was in recognition of Perspective's work with Hamilton, Ontario-based builder Marz Homes, and was judged based on the creativity and success of marketing strategies, promotional programs, merchandising techniques and materials developed for Marz.

Perspective has worked with Marz Homes for more than five years. In addition to developing creative for Marz, the company works to maximize the reach of Marz's marketing materials by producing cost-efficient projects that reach a wide audience, are strategic in nature, and have visuals that appeal to potential Marz customers.

Perspective has worked on many Marz projects, from advertising and website design, to radio and television production and public relations. There were many factors to consider in the nomination process for Service Company of the Year, but a few projects from the past year were especially of note.

"Perspective set up a mobile website and an advertising campaign for Marz with a technology that's pretty new to Canada called the QR code," says Danny Gabriele, Vice President of Marz Homes. "When someone uses his or her cell phone to take a picture of the barcode on our ad, their phone will automatically go to the Marz mobile site. It's a great way for us to reach our customer base and to get people to seek a secondary source of information beyond the physical ad."

Perspective handled the media buying for the QR campaign, including street-level billboards in Hamilton to target pedestrian traffic, wall posters strategically placed in Hamilton bars and restaurants, and print ads in a local alternative weekly.

Perspective also created a brand and generated a buzz for the Hole in One Home giveaway at last year's Golf for a Cure tournament which was sponsored by Marz Homes. Perspective created a website for the tournament, conducted a public relations campaign and a media event to attract press coverage for the event, and designed a new logo that can be used in the tournaments year after year.

"We were very happy to help out with such a good cause," says Glenn Marshall, Managing Partner at Perspective Marketing Inc. "We were not only able to put our creativity to the test in producing the campaign, but we were also able to see our efforts go towards something really positive."

Perspective has also obtained significant press for Marz Homes over the past year. For the QR code campaign, Marz and Perspective were featured on MediainCanada.com and StimulantOnline.com, and for the Hole in One Home campaign, Marz received press on CHCH News, in New Homes and Condos magazine, the Toronto Star, and local publications such as the Hamilton Spectator, Hamilton Community News and the Bay Observer.

Perspective's expertise in self-publishing has also helped to create an annual eight-page feature advertorial designed and distributed specifically to promote Marz Homes. The feature advertorial was also an award winner at the HHHBA awards.

Perspective's emphasis on calculated, cost-efficient marketing was the focus for the Service Company of the Year award. Through targeted marketing, Perspective has been able to help Marz to sell more units while using the same, if not a smaller marketing budget. Above all Perspective aims to maximize the exposure of its clients without maximizing their budget, which requires a lot of strategic, tactical work and exceptional creative.
