FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OAKVILLE, Ontario, October 30th, 2007 - Today, Perspective Marketing announced the release of Perspective™ Hamilton 2008. The publication was distributed throughout the Golden Horseshoe in copies of the Globe and Mail and to select households via Canada Post. This year's edition takes a special look at all of the initiatives being implemented throughout Hamilton to create a cleaner, greener city. Mayor Fred Eisenberger, who is leading the city's environmental push, introduces the publication. "Hamilton is a city whose potential for environmental stewardship is being realized," says Glenn Marshall, managing partner at Perspective Marketing. "The City, along with many local stakeholders such as the Port Authority, Horizon Utilities, SteelCare, Mohawk College and McMaster University, are realizing that environmental sustainability leads to economic sustainability." The publication also showcases many Hamilton industries that are making a difference locally, provincially, nationally and even internationally. Hamilton Health Sciences is continuing with medical breakthroughs that are changing the way that medicine is practiced throughout the world. McMaster University, along with industry partners SteelCare, the Hamilton Port Authority and Hamilton International Airport, are in the midst of creating the McMaster Institute of Transport and Logistics. On October 2, 2007, the city's economic development department launched their new website - Investinhamilton.ca - making it easier than ever for investors to get the information they need. And that's not all. "The City has created a number of new offices and passed a number of new bylaws to ensure the health and well being of the city's residents," says Marshall. "The creation of the Brownfield office in the economic development department and the Environmental Manager position at the Hamilton Port Authority are ushering Hamilton into an era of environmental leadership."
