FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OAKVILLE, Ontario, December 4, 2007 - Today, Perspective Marketing Inc. announced the release of its annual publication Perspective™ Burlington 2008. Perspective™ Burlington 2008 was distributed throughout southern Ontario in copies of the Globe and Mail, and also to select households in Burlington via Canada Post. With environmental stewardship as its theme, this year's edition of Perspective™ Burlington highlights many of the city's most environmentally active businesses and organizations. The publication sports two different covers: the first cover displays David Collie, president of Burlington Hydro, and the many environmental initiatives Burlington Hydro has undertaken; the second cover displays Steve Stipsits, president of Branthaven Homes, one the city's premier builders. "Burlington has always been a city of innovators and forward thinkers," says Steve Montague, managing partner with Perspective Marketing. "When we decided to do an environmental theme with Perspective™ Burlington 2008, we knew that we wouldn't have to look too far for companies, organizations and individuals that were striving to make a difference." Perspective™ Burlington 2008 provides readers with snapshot of many of the initiatives going on within the city. A spate of new development, including investments from the private sector, as well as Burlington's ongoing waterfront and downtown developments are chronicled within. The city's initiatives for implementing blue and green box programs are documented, as are the efforts of the Halton Region Conservation Authority, and even those of the region's independent schools to promote environmental awareness among students in the greater Burlington area. "It is important that the public know what their city and members of their community are doing to ensure a healthy environment," says Montague. "Through Perspective™ Burlington 2008, we feel that we have created a thorough guide to the city's proactive approach to preserving the environment."
