FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
EVERYTHING'S COMING UP BRANTFORD

OAKVILLE, Ontario, September 16, 2008 -Today, Perspective Marketing Inc. announced the release of Perspective™ Brantford 2009. Distributed throughout the Greater Toronto and Brantford areas in the Globe and Mail, and to select households in Brantford via Canada Post, the publication gives readers the scoop on the city's economic, tourism and lifestyle opportunities.

The City of Brantford is reaping the benefits of the economic development initiatives put in place over the past decade. By leveraging its enviable geographic location to attract business, the city has created a steady economy based in manufacturing, food production, tourism, education and construction. These growing industries are inspiring more people to locate to the city ever year.

"The City of Brantford and its business stakeholders have been proactive in setting and meeting economic goals, firmly establishing several strong sectors in the city," says Steve Montague, Managing Partner at Perspective Marketing Inc. "With a resilient economy, we are now beginning to see new development in the city, especially in the sectors of residential housing and the arts."

The opening of Harmony Square in downtown Brantford earlier this year, and the many initiatives devised to support it, have drawn residents and visitors downtown for movie screenings, theatre and public skating. This influx of residents and tourists to the downtown is helping to support local businesses, and at the same time is inspiring a sense of community throughout the city.

The city's "walkability" initiatives are another important element in enticing people to the city. With fall weather approaching, Brantford's system of trails and natural areas provide the perfect outdoor recreation amenities for people to lead active and healthy lifestyles.

"Brantford is one of Ontario's most progressive cities," says Montague. "And I think that the most exciting aspect to the city is that it has really only just begun its transformation. The coming years are going to bring more innovations and developments and we'll be there to report on them."

All Perspective Marketing publications are archived in the National Library of Canada. Perspective™ Brantford 2009 is part of a series of Perspective Marketing Inc. publications reporting on municipalities in Ontario. There are currently 17 editions, a number expected to grow to 24 by the end of 2009.
