PERSPECTIVE AND SMLS UNVEIL SPECIAL SECTION IN GLOBE AND MAIL

OAKVILLE, Ontario, Wednesday, January 13, 2010 - Today, Perspective Marketing is pleased to announce the unveiling of a special newspaper supplement in the Globe and Mail about St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School (SMLS) in Oakville. The publication highlights the advantages of an all-girls education and the many achievements of the school in the past year.

The eight-page supplement is an important information piece for SMLS, especially in terms of conveying the message about the benefits of differentiated learning in a single-sex educational environment. St. Mildred's and Perspective Marketing have previously worked together on the school's marketing initiatives, including strategic planning, media buying, creative and website optimization. The school contracted Perspective to facilitate the publication's design, and to coordinate editorial, layout, printing and distribution.

"Our school has been around for more than 118 years, and long before research indicated that girls' and boys' brains develop differently, we have been focusing on the ways in which girls learn, and helping young women to reach their full potential," says Jane Wightman, Head of School at SMLS. "Perspective helped us to put out this special informative piece to educate parents about not only the exciting developments at St. Mildred's-Lightbourn, but also the incredible advantages of an all-girls' school and single-sex education."

The supplement features several stories, including insight from SMLS graduates on their respective roads to success; case studies of students in multiple disciplines, including academics, arts and athletics; specific information on the advantages of differentiated learning; and updates on the school's capital campaign that will see multiple additions to the school's facilities, including new classrooms, a student lounge, a senior resource centre, and a new dining hall and kitchen. These additions are scheduled for completion in 2011, and will add to the changes that have already taken place at the school over the past two years to create some of the finest facilities available in the Greater Toronto Area.

"We wanted to create an informative vehicle for SMLS to highlight some of the fantastic offerings at the school, while at the same time maximize the allocated budget and get the school as much reach as possible," says Allison Trenholm, Marketing Communications Manager, Perspective Marketing. The publication was timed to coincide with an open house at St. Mildred's-Lightbourn on January 23rd from 10am-2pm for parents and students interested in learning more about the school and its unique style of education that caters specifically to the ways in which girls learn.
