HAMILTON — SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL

OAKVILLE, Ontario, October 12, 2005 — Today Perspective celebrates the wonders of Hamilton with the release of Perspective(TM) Hamilton 2006 . This in-depth look at what's going on in the city profiles Hamilton's prominent institutions and features testimonials from the personalities that drive them.

The City of Hamilton is making its mark these days emerging as a centre for both healthcare and education. The City has much to celebrate over the next few years including the groundbreaking McMaster Innovation Park and the return of both the Brier and The Canadian Open. Perspective(TM) Hamilton 2006 was distributed today in copies of The Globe and Mail and will appear in copies of The Hamilton Spectator later this week .

To promote the City Perspective partnered with John Ellison, the legendary singer/songwriter who penned the hit "Some Kind of Wonderful."

"Using the song as our catchphrase to encapsulate the virtues of Hamilton was an obvious choice," says managing partner Steve Montague. "The artist has lived in the Hamilton area for the last 27 years."

When approached about the project Ellison was more than willing to lend his legendary song. After recognizing his passion for the community Perspective took it one step further and brought Ellison into the studio to re-record his smash hit with new song lyrics specific to the City of Hamilton. Keep an eye out for radio, TV, and print components to the "Some Kind of Wonderful" campaign.

Perspective(TM) Hamilton 2006 is part of a series of Perspective Marketing publications reporting on municipalities in Ontario. There are currently 13 editions, a number expected to grow to 24 by 2007.
