BUILDING ON BURLINGTON'S STRENGTHS

OAKVILLE, Ontario (October 28, 2003) - Burlington is one of the fastest growing cities in Canada. A recently released newspaper supplement published by Perspective Marketing highlights some of the reasons for the city’s popularity in such markets as real estate, education, transportation and many others. The Burlington supplement also looks at other exciting endeavours such as future projects, Burlington’s success in the area of Smart Growth and a new downtown waterfront redevelopment plan.

Perspective Marketing published the supplement privately with support from the City of Burlington. Forty-five thousand copies of the Burlington supplement were distributed today through Canada Post to every household in the city as well as 145,000 through Golden Horseshoe area copies of The Globe and Mail, resulting in a readership of 422,000.

“Burlington has become a thriving people place over the past few years, and, once the City’s new Downtown Waterfront Implementation Plan is complete, promises to become even more of a destinational draw,” says Steve Montague, managing partner with Perspective Marketing. “Helping promote such a vibrant city through production of the Burlington newspaper supplement has been an exciting initiative and has shown us that Burlington is open for business today as never before.”
