Oakville
sets sail at annual general meeting
OAKVILLE, Ontario (February
20, 2001) - For the third consecutive year Perspective Marketing
has designed and produced the Oakville Economic Development Alliance
(OEDA) annual report. Since developing a relationship with the Town
of Oakville in 1998, Perspective Marketing has initiated ad campaigns,
CD-ROMs, web development, newspaper supplements, tourism literature
and annual reports.
The Oakville community is part of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
which is Canada's largest metropolitan area with total population
of about 4.8 million. Oakville's suburban location within the GTA
adds lifestyle and quality of life advantages and reinforces the
region's position as home to 15 percent of Canada's businesses and
16 percent of the Country's workforce. One-quarter of Canada's population
live within a 100 mile (160 km) radius of Oakville. The Town of
Oakville provides all the advantages of a well-serviced urban centre,
yet prides itself on having small town ambiance.
This year annual report took a new direction and a special
nautical theme was introduced. This report focussed on growth, research,
growing partnerships, business investments and tourism highlights.
The use of a duoatone and a heavier card stock for the covers breaks
the traditional design of past reports. This look showcases some
of the history and sophistication of conducting business in Oakville.
